I support the Region of Waterloo's comment with regards to Source Water Protection. However it does not go far enough to protect our resources. Any activity that disturbs, alters or diminishes the filtration layer above an aquifer will be prohibited. Water must be protected at any cost. Read more

I strongly support the Region of Waterloo's suggestions for Source Water Protection and Citizens for Safe Ground Water's comments to the Registry. Much stricter rules and oversight for aggregate collection in or near source water areas or wellheads is necessary.

At a time in history when so much has already been done to compromise the integrity and sustainablility of the environment, is there a better reason for removing environmental protective measures than to increase Aggregate companies’ profit margins?
