Please do NOT allow this cruel practice. I am truly appalled by this. This practice ended for a reason. As someone with an environmental studies degree I highly encourage you to instead advocate for education on co-existence with wildlife and the benefits of it.

Wow...after 25 years now you want to reopen this? This is cruel and inhumane. Wildlife should never be taken from their natural environments and held captive by hunters. No, no, a thousand times NO to this proposal.

Please do not allow this barbaric practice to go on any longer. Capturing wild animals to use as training bait for dogs is completely inhumane. Dogs can be trained with scented decoys. For a 1st World country to allow this practice in the 21st century is quite unforgiveable. Read more

I am against the proposed dog training and trial areas. The hunting activities in Ontario, in my opinion, should be all together not allowed. Shame on those who are interested in hunting the Ontario's wild life for sport. Mindless cruelty is disgusting.

I firmly reject the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s proposal to allow new licenses and the transfer of licenses for train and trial areas in Ontario. Penned dog hunting facilities are cruel and barbaric. Opening applications for these facilities is taking a massive step backwards. Read more

This is outrageous and cruel. These facilities were closed (some still being phased out) 25 years ago. Trying dogs to kill using penned wildlife!!! Why is this even being considered. Stop this barbaric practice forever.

I am completely appalled that a country would even consider such a horrific area for the greed and sport, which is no sport but only absolute cruelty.Wild animals are not meant to be held in captivity,it only causes such fear and insanity as they can’t move around freely. And to have themselves chased Read more

The only thing I agree with is allowing this to phase out like it was intended to do so years ago. Hunting for food is one thing but hunting and killing for sport is wrong in so many levels. Read more

I firmly reject the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s proposal to allow new licenses and the transfer of licenses for train and trial areas in Ontario. I mean seriously, what year is it? 1897??
