I wasn’t aware that there was a limit on new training and trialing areas. This doesn’t really make sense to me. Why limit it at all? The existing spaces that I frequent seem to provide much better habitat for all species of wildlife than any other yard or agricultural use properties. Read more

I think this is a great idea and love overdue here in Ontario! Having these preserves will allow everyone to exercise their dogs in and outside of season in a private setting and help preserve this heritage sport.

I believe the allowance of new dog trial and training facilities would be an excellent idea. As a dog owner and hunter I use what facilities I can to exercise my dogs. Beiable to take my dogs and let them run game in the off season helps keep them in shape and healthy. Read more

Wolfe island fox hound association supports this legislation, as it will help heritage hunting with hounds and make it easier for younger people to join. It makes a safe area to excersise our hounds.

I am in strong support of this amendment. The current hound training areas are few and far between. They are a safe place for hounds men and women to take part and grow the sport and to continue to be in touch with part of our heritage that helped to settle this country. Read more

This would be amazing to have more of these training facilities. It makes things a lot easier for people like me who are unable run in the wild during the summer time due to permissions. Running hounds is a tradition I don't wanna see go and I believe this would be the great way to keep it alive

This would be a great opportunity for sportspeople to train and enjoy the sport of hounds. It would also please negative homeowners, who do not want to see the sport go on around their property. Should cut down on complaint calls to the Ministry . I am all for it. Thanks

I can speak from personal experience that the current lack of licensed individuals/business where I can properly train my dog has been frustrating. I am in full support of this proposal and as an avid hunter I feel my dog and I would benefit from the changes put forward. Read more

I think this proposal is great! More opportunity to get outdoors and get to help teach and learn with these hunting dogs. Having more opportunities for “pens” will certainly condition the dogs for when the time matters most! 10/10 OFAH

I believe that training facilities Are very beneficial… They offer a safe place for dogs to run And do what they are breed to do Without interfering with the public …. The game inside the enclosures Are given rest days and places to seek refuge Read more
