I support reinstating the removed lands back into green belt protection. There are thousands of acres of unused parking lots and unoccupied buildings thats should be used to build up on first. We do not need to destroy green space.

I give a hoot about the reversal. It is important to me, and it should be important to Ford and his government. You are supposed to be serving people, not managing the province like a business. What is good for people is the preservation of our lands, especially critical spaces like the Greenbelt.

If we don’t preserve and care for our green belt lands then we will all pay the price. There are much better ways to add housing density than this, we just need some smart people and the political will to do it. Canada has so much land! Hands off our green belt lands, please! For the sake of us all.

Governments need to protect agricultural land as well as the green belt. Yes, we need affordable housing, but it can be done by infilling not destroying the environment that supports all of us. We lose more and more species to habitat loss every single year. Hands off the green belt!

Please support this proposal to return these parcels of land to the Greenbelt. Simply building more unaffordable homes in car-dependent sprawl outside of existing municipal boundaries will not solve the housing crisis. Read more
