Water systems are extremely sensitive. Meanwhile, given the extraordinarily low prices paid for water extraction by large companies, there is effectively no loss whatsoever to the province of Ontario or its citizens incurred by extending this moratorium. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain by taking our time and gathering more data.
