As a tourist I will most likely not be visiting Ontario if you go ahead an implement a spring bear hunt. As you are probably more than aware hunters are not capable of telling the difference between male and female bears. As a result a spring bear hunt could see more than a few orphaned bears being added to the mix.

Tourists such as myself come to Ontario to see live bears. We certainly contribute far more to the economy than the hunting community.
