I ask that you not allow the expansion of the taking of raptors to include goshawks. I further ask that Ontario reexamine the taking of any raptors for hunting companions as it is an unethical practice that can endanger species as risk such as peregrine falcons. We have seen many of these magnificent birds brought back from the brink of extinction due to human practices particularly in pesticide use and loss of habitat. But still the populations of raptors in some areas are declining. The oversight for taking these wild creatures is questionable. This practice will allow native animals to be shipped to other countries who do not have cruelty to animals laws putting pressure the demand of our raptors.
Thank you for please reconsidering this practice.
