I fully support the use of wild raptors in falconry and increasing that use. Falconers, as stewards of wildlife, contribute significantly to wildlife and raptor conservation. Increasing the take of wild raptors, does not only increase the individual bird's survival rates, but also allows the continued increase in knowledge of different raptor species. Falconers can be credited with much of our better understanding of birds of prey, birds of prey management, and captive breeding birds of prey. By increasing the availability and simplicity for falconer's to access birds of prey, the rate at which our understanding of these birds can also increase.
