These changes will make it easier for developers to destroy species at risk, as it rolls back the authority of the SARA act.

Developers paying money into a fund is far less responsible than having them prove that they can actually provide a net benefit to the species, such as planting vegetation and creating wetlands or habitats.

This is just another pro wealthy developer deregulatulion that the current government has done. It's all well timed with the conservation authority rollback as well.

The SARA act needs to be strengthened, not weakened in a a way to 'streamline' the process for wealthy developers.
