It is really important that right now during this crisis, this Covid crisis, the government remain an institution we can trust. This bill risks breaking people’s trust in the government. Inserting anti-environmental and anti-heritage bills into an Omni bus bill at this time is opportunistic and deceitful.people are ragged right now. The Omnibus bill includes too much that needs study and debate.
There are many ways to support the economy other than land development. Lifting zoning laws that make it easy for developers to bulldoze and build is a short term fix. It benefits developers.
You are doing good work with Covid. You need the citizenry to trust you now. Don’t do this. It’s ugly, unfair and terribly disappointing.
