The Provincial Government has made changes to the community’s vision for the Foundry site in Toronto without consultation. During a pandemic they changed MZO and have begun demolition without community input. This is a Toronto heritage property. Certainly as a proud Torontonian I am horrified that the Province can bulldoze a Toronto historical landmark for the purpose of building towers not in keeping with the multi-use community hub envisioned to be a future staple in Toronto’s art and music scene. The demolition and change for this site is a slap in the face to a community hopefully for our neighborhood’s bright future.
