This proposal fails to proactively include the Ontario government’s accountability to the the local community and constituents in future planning and development projects. Providing the Minister with enhanced authority presents a direct relationship to usurping the authority of constituents in their autonomy of the future development of their community despite being the population who will be directly impacts by this amendment.
I call on our government of Ontario, the caretakers of our province, to continue actively consulting communities in the future developments. To continue valuing the perspectives shared in public comments and community consolidations online and in person.
