So, I remember this issue was explored a few years ago. In fact, I think it goes back decades. Why can't you guys make a final decision and move on? It seems that bureaucracy often creates issues only to justify itself. Taxpayers are paying for this continuing process which must be settled now.

Rondeau Park cottages have been in the Park for over a century. They are a well established part of the park itself and have become a heritage community which deserves cultural protection. They make a significant financial contribution towards the operation of the Park, and don't seem to be affecting the flora and fauna which are thriving. They should stay.

I understand that there is an offer available to the Ontario government that would add more protected land area than the total cottage lot area within the Park. This is a fantastic opportunity for us the people of Ontario that is being offered to the province at no cost. I say selling the cottagers the land affected by current leases and getting more protected land than is being sold on top of the deal is a great environmental victory and an astute financial move on the part of the government. Make the deal and move on.
