I am in complete support of this Official Plan. It went through a thorough review and its final format allows for significant growth within our Countryside Line while respecting the life and habitat of numerous species at risk. Since the majority of our water comes from wells, this plan helps protect that valuable resource and our Countryside line protects some of the most productive farm land in Ontario. It is a visionary plan that provides for the necessary future growth while safeguarding our priceless natural heritage. Its goal of sustainability is needed now more than ever before and was supported by all member, second tier local governments. It is a model other regions should strive toward and I encourage the provincial government to leave this insightful plan intact .
