The Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH), the Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute (HRAI), and the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) would like to applaud the Ministry on the movement towards harmonization of the codes across Canada. The Proposed Amendment to O. Reg 509/18 is just one step towards harmonization. We have no additional comments to make regarding these amendments. We look forward to working closely with the Ministry to achieve harmony with the national model codes. It is through this harmonization that many issues that plague the construction industries across Canada will be resolved and problems such as labour mobility put to rest.
