Is anyone aware that York1 has already previously had a November 30 2023 proposal for a " New Environmental Compliance Approval for stormwater management works, consisting of on-site ditches and stormwater management ponds, serving 29831 Irish School Road in the Town of Dresden, Ontario. This company quietly started doing assessments without notifying, municipal council and residents and mislead everyone with what they planned on doing to this site. This proposal needs to be overturned. York1 knew exactly what they were doing and deliberately kept their intentions away from everyone. They have been purchasing surrounding properties as well. York1 doesn’t care about the residents of Dresden. Their plan to make a mega landfill that will destroy our town. This old “landfill” that never really ran as a landfill should not be used to “grandfather” this new expansion. Times have changed and the laws have changed. Landfills must now be 3.5km AWAY from ANY residential area. How come this isn’t an issue now and the provincial government is allowing them to do this. This must be stopped immediately.
