As a longtime resident of Dresden, someone who grew up in this tiny rural town fishing and playing in the fields and rivers. Dresden is known to be a quiet and a peaceful place, home to many families that have grown up here their whole lives. We take pride in our little town, although small we are mighty. Full of rich history and agriculture, Dresden holds a sense of community and connectedness. We’re home to the great Sydenham River, which carries many endangered species and fish, but will be forever damaged if this facility is placed upon this land. Not to mention many families rely on water wells which internally could affect their homestead greatly. I beg you, please if you have any regards for our environment, please do not let them build a landfill in our backyard.
