I make the drive up to the Pretty River area several times each year to hike or snowshoe. It is a stunning area and deserves to be protected for the sake of its wildlife, human enjoyment and future generations. For many reasons we need to be able to get out into nature, and away from the noise and pollution of the cities. With a growing population some of these wild areas are becoming over-stressed and over-busy. We need to expand them, and quickly, before they're all paved over or developed. We also need to maintain natural spaces and tree canopy because of climate change. Time is of the essence.
