In light of the UN's recent report on the short timeline of catastrophic global warming, we cannot afford the time it would take to start from scratch with a new provincial climate change plan. Cap and trade programs have been shown to work, and any negative impact that they might have on Ontario's economy couldn't possibly be worse than irreversible damage to the planet and its food systems. This bill is recklessly shortsighted.
