As a voting Ontarian, with children in this province whose future I care about, I urge you not to proceed with Bill 4. There is significant evidence that action for planet is a matter of extreme urgency and that a cap and trade program (from scientists, economists who are looking at actual data) is achievable and can and will create positive change. A vague pledge to do something more in future is not sufficient and will only cause delays and more damage. Repealing without a plan, from a government that has been vocal about its disdain for action on climate change while demonstrating very little concern for anything other than the wealth of the province and its wealthiest citizens, is irresponsible, unethical, and short sighted.
I am against Bill 4. I support an evidenced-based approach that considers the future of our province, its' citizens and the health of our planet - and this is not it.
