1) How will the Government of Ontario meet the carbon reduction targets set by the Government of Canada, if the current Cap and Trade Act is cancelled without having a new Act in place?
2.1) The Government of Canada has stated that provinces must have either a carbon tax or another system in place to reduce carbon emissions, how can the Government of Ontario follow the federal legislation if there is no Act to replace the Cap and Trade Act?
2.2) How long will it take for the Government of Ontario to create and implement a new Act to align with the Federal Government requirements to have a carbon reduction system in place?
3) How will the Government of Ontario help students graduating college with specializations in renewable energy, and how will the renewable energy sector be supported in Ontario?
4) How will the cancellation of the Cap and Trade Act impact the decommissioning of coal energy production in Ontario?
5) What are the costs associated with cancelling the current Cap and Trade program and how will it be covered?
6) What processes are in place to encourage companies who have installed carbon reduction techniques and equipment into their operations to maintain them and continue to use the instruments or practices to keep carbon emissions at their current levels or to continue to lower carbon emissions?
