This Government of Ontario…

This Government of Ontario is assaulting a modern, 21st century Ontario that the people of Ontario need to survive and thrive in the coming years and decades. With the recent United Nations IPCC report sounding the alarm of imminent global climate catastrophe, this government needs to do all it can to ensure Ontario heads towards 100% renewable energy sources and a decarbonized society. The repeal of the Green Energy Act would be a slap in the face to the all the hard work Ontarians have done in recent years in leading in clean innovations and initiatives. I support greater consultation, control, and benefit of renewable energy products like wind farms to the communities which they power, but that can be had without this reckless repeal. Amend the Act! I'm sure Guelph MPP Mike Schreiner would be happy to work with the government on solid proposals, as well as many others. This government is taking Ontario back decades to make an ideological grand stand, evidenced by it's actions.
