Dismantling this project does not make sense. The investment in the White Pine Winds Project has been going on for years and many steps had to be met for approval of starting construction. Choosing to shut down the White Pine Winds Project is a rash decision that not only wastes resources and energy but disrespects the systems that made it possible to be started. The project would have provided clean energy to 3000 homes, and terminating the project after 10 years of work will have a cost of $100 million to tax payers. This is unacceptable.
