We are one of approximately 30 water-access only cottagers on Dogtooth Lake east of Kenora within the Eagle-Dogtooth Waterway. Of course, Rushing River Provincial Park, a recreational class park, is also located on Dogtooth Lake. Under the proposal, it seems that on the one hand, live bait could be used on Dogtooth Lake because Rushing River PP is located there; but on the other hand it would be prohibited because Dogtooth Lake is also part of a larger Waterway. May I suggest that live bait should continue to be allowed on Dogtooth Lake. Any other policy seems unreasonable and is impractical. In addition, and to state the obvious, prohibiting, for example, the use of leeches and minnows by the cottagers and year-in year-out visitors to Dogtooth Resort, who come at least in part to fish, would have a significant and adverse effect.
