Bike lanes are integral to Toronto. They are a key mode of transportation for many that is both environmentally friendly and often more efficient for riders, and also provides the added benefit of less congested roads. The traffic in this city is already too much, closing the bike lanes would diminish many people’s lives, not only bikers, as additional cars on the road or transit riders will only cause more delays and congestion. It also provides exercise routes for many, leading to healthier lifestyles.
