Improving cycling infrastructure has actually proven to improve traffic, not to mention keeps cyclists safe while using the road. We need to be moving forwards not backwards with bike lanes!
As a taxpayer, I'm also very against spending millions of dollars to rip up existing, well used bike lanes, including the ones on Bloor/Danforth streets and University Ave in Toronto. This is a huge waste of public funds which would be much better spent on healthcare and/or education.
If you want to improve gridlock, please work to finish and open transit projects such as the Crosstown LRT.
