I am shocked that a renewable energy project so far along in implementation is being shut down. The company involved should have its current contract honored, and not have to absorb costs to do the shut down, regardless of whatever "compensation" is due. Taxpayers should not have to pay that compensation. If you wish to deny any new projects of this sort fine. But renewable energy is a viable business contributing to our economy. I thought this government wanted to support business and our economy. Shutting down perfectly viable businesses, and contributors to our future in the renewable energy industry which is growing internationally is misguided. What a waste of taxpayers money already spent developing this type of project! This is political grandstanding of the worst type! Hands off viable renewable energy contracts currently in the works.
