The decision to cancel the White Pines Wind Project is wrong.

Ontario needs to encourage and grow our renewable energy capacity.

There is little / no evidence that wind turbines affect human health. Health Canada study link is given below.

There is a lot of evidence that we must grow our renewable energy capacity to avoid the catastrophic impacts of climate change.

Our industrialized society accepts road noise from cars, it accepts visual impacts of hydro towers and transmission facilities. Also the much greater human impacts of oil extraction and processing through tar sands, refineries and pipelines. The impacts of wind turbines are far less.

Ontario and Canada both are falling behind in their commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions . In order to meet and improve on our GHG emissions, further sources of non polluting electricity will continue to be needed.

The cost of generating electricity through wind turbines is now less than most other methods; Alberta most recently contracted for wind energy for less than 4 cents / KwH. Link below

The regulation to cancel the White Pines project should be withdrawn.
