This seems crazy to me.
The electricity generated with wind will reduce our dependency on polluting generating methods like gas, oil, and coal. It may some day allow us to mothball the nuclear generating stations.
How is the local region planning on making up for this loss?
This appears to be similar to the situation that caused the last government such outrage from voters. The cancelling of the gas plant.
Cancelling this wind project has a price tag. I expect that will be a valid issue and concern come the next election.
Perhaps we can find out that cost now?
Wrong to do this on many levels.
