Given the urgency to ameliorate climate change, given that the project is already partially built, given that we will need the renewable energy, given that the government has no other plans to reduce climate change, given that this sends the message to businesses not to trust the Ontario government when signing agreements, and given that this will cost the Ontario tax payers millions compensation, it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to close and dismantle this project, apart from an irrational, shortsighted ideological attitude that hurts the people of Ontario.
I hereby state very clearly that, as an Ontario taxpayer, I am strongly opposed to closing and dismantling this project.
