Their numbers seem to have exploded in the Hamilton/Toronto Harbour areas over the past 30 years and their nesting colonies in those particular areas have destroyed the habitat so badly it seems unable to regenerate.
That and the fish food chain eco systems seem to be suffering.
I would be in favour of a cull/hunting season to get their numbers back into a balance with the eco system.
