I appreciate reading the Park Management Plan and look forward to updates as more properties are added to the park like the recent announcement by the TRCA.

I would recommend that this new urban provincial park classification take advantage of the large population that it is near, and provide numerous and robust educational opportunities for school groups, community organizations, families, and individuals about the unique features in Uxbridge but also the larger park system. Self-guided opportunities are a great way to start, but I recommend guided visits be made possible as soon as facilities allow on the natural and cultural qualities of the area as well as the development of environmental stewardship and camping skills. Many people are interested in the natural environment that Ontario has to offer, but may not be sufficiently equipped or knowledgeable about how to prepare for or conduct a visit to the wilderness. I believe you'll find a lot of interest in this type of programming at this location.
