I am writing to express my opposition to ERO 019-9534, to build an interim combined sewer overflow to at 955 Lake Shore Boulevard West. This will reverse decades of hard work by the city of Toronto to seperate and replace combined sewer outflows throughout the city, and it is in direct conflict with the goals of the Ontario Place redevelopment plan to make Toronto's waterfront world class and a place people want to visit.

It will harm not only water quality and habitat in the great lakes, but it will also reduce waterfront access for citizens of Toronto, and tourists. The channel this sewer will empty into is used every year by the Exhibition for its waterski show, it is used for numerous rowing and other watersport competitions, and it was even used in the Pan Am games. It is also part of the much loved public park Marilyn Bell Park. All of these things will not be possible with the water being polluted by raw sewage. This will DETER people from visiting the waterfront, not attract them, as the Ontario Place redevelopment is supposed to do.

I sincerely hope you will reconsider and conduct proper environmental assessments and public consultation before contructing this horrific sewer outflow.
