Regarding the proposal for an interim combined sewer to support development of the Therme Spa on the former grounds of Ontario Place. I strongly oppose the proposal which goes against decades of work by the City of Toronto to separate and replace combined sewers across the city to prevent the discharge of raw sewage into Lake Ontario. This short sighted approach where the only goal is to accelerate the construction project for the benefit of Therme is unneccessarily damaging to the environment and threatens the health of wildlife and human water users. This rush job with no attempt to hold public consultations is just another in a string of terrible decisions that favour the corporate interests in this project with no concern for either the citizens or wildlife of Toronto.

This proposal to benefit private sector initiatives, is not in the public interest and threatens the stability of the lake ecosystem in a time of severe biodiversity loss. Please deny this permit.
