I am commenting on the proposal for an interim combined sewer to support development at 955 Lake Shore Boulevard (Ontario Place).

I strongly oppose this proposal; it is for the benefit of foreign and private sectors, does absolutely nothing for the taxpayers of Ontario, in fact harms our water and makes us more vulnerable to climate change by threatening the stability of the lake ecosystem in a time of severe biodiversity loss. It's flagrantly unethical.

It also undoes decades of work by the City of Toronto to separate and replace combined sewers across the city to prevent the discharge of raw sewage into Lake Ontario, essentially rendering all those taxpayers dollars moot.

Conspicuously, the province has also not held any consultations about this work with the general public, and I don't think that is a mistake. They know that this projects panders only to wealthy and private interests and they want to strong arm Ontarians into bankrolling a private project.

Please deny this permit.
