I do not support the proposed changes.

The job of the government is to find a balance between urbanization, development of projects and to maintain the preservation of wildlife. It is not to create laws to enhance the speed of development (highways, housing etc.) at the expense of eradicating existing protections that were deemed necessary for the well-being of the communities and wildlife.

These proposed changes:

1. not only limits the surrounding areas deemed pertinent for wildlife refuge. It also eliminates protection to areas to food and refuge that is required for their life sustainability. If these changes were implemented, the government is essentially committing speciecide - systematic extermination of a species. The government's on research identified at least 11 species that would be affected if highway 413 is to be built. It is evident enough by the government's own authority that the livelihood of these 11 species would be at risk and would in turn have a negative impact on local and global ecology.

2. is condescending. It is not an update or revision to provide better wildlife sustainability. It merely eliminates protection of wildlife in the name of providing "clarity" and "efficiency" for building a infrastructure (namely highway 413). It paves way for a legitimized reason and groundwork to progress the government's agenda despite the detrimental effects it will have on the environment.

It's a waste of time - all the consultants and researchers and employees - and tax payers money to do a research in the name of due diligence and simply say that you're not going to acknowledge the evidence that is presented by those that were hired to do their job simply because it doesn't fit into the government's agenda.

The proposed changes do not reflect at all the government's consideration on their own findings. Nor does it honor these findings.

It provides excuses to not consider these findings to facilitate their agendas of building houses and highways.
