I am deeply saddened to think that our government would reduce protections for endangered species at a time when they are at greatest risk. I strongly oppose any measures that weaken environmental protections and endanger the habitat of our native species. We need to leave a world intact for future generations and we need robust, functional ecosystems for our own survival, especially when faced with a changing climate. We do not need more curbs and cars, we need denser cities, protected and secure food systems and responsible development that preserves our environment. Failing to protect vulnerable species is irresponsible and short cited.
