There are negative environmental impacts from the cancellation and destruction of this windfarm in our neighbourhood that are lesser known by the public. Had the project been commissioned this year or early next as it was contracted to do , the company...wpd... would have been able to continue funding the 4 year research project and masters thesis to protect the eastern whip-poor will and training of over 700 people about protection of this bird, the eastern meadowlark and bobolink. All of this and other planned conservation and education measures are now gone with the wind.....or should I say the end of wind energy in The County. It is not too late to reverse this course of action while the 4 turbines stand and the other 5 await completion......all of which would be to the benefit of our overall environment.
