I find it funny how Bill 5…

I find it funny how Bill 5 is named "Protect Ontario by Unleashing our Economy Act" but it will do the complete opposite if it is passed. This bill will not protect the environment or people as seen in Dresden. This Bill is dangerous and it is not what Canada stands for. I am all for economic development and keeping business in Canada, but it has to be done right and taking people and the environment into account. As seen with the Dresden dump, we are BEGGING you not to go through with this project, as it is way too close to our small town which has a high school and elementary school. This is NOT safe and I feel like the most basic thing to do is an environmental assessment like we were promised lasted year. There are so many concerns that surround this project, like air pollution, decreased property values, pollution of our rivers, truck traffic, noise pollution, etc.
My family just built a house outside of Dresden 2.5 years ago and we will most likely be on the truck route for York1. This increased traffic scares me with small children. This dump gives me so much anxiety about my children and the future of our small beloved town. Please protect us and say NO to Bill 5. Dresden is SCREAMING for our government to help us. Don't let us down.
