I am very much in favour of a cormorant hunting season. I have seen the population go from nothing to well over 20 birds on our small Algonquin Highlands lake in just the last 7 years or so. I am concerned they are depleting fish populations to the point of causing feeding stress for the loons. Loon populations have been shaky while the cormorant have increased quickly. I consider them an invasive species to our lake.
Thank you very much for addressing this troubling issue. Make it happen!
