As a resident of Ontario, I am opposed to Bill 5.

Bill 5 is a sweeping attack on endangered species protections, Indigenous rights, and even the rule of law. Bill 5 scraps the endangered species act leaving Ontario's most at-risk animals in danger.
Bill 5 tramples Indigenous rights and doesn’t respect the right to free prior and informed consent. Indigenous Peoples must be at the center of all discussions about sustainable economies and protecting endangered species.

Bill 5 should not become law.
