This regulation should not be passed without scientific justification and modeling to ensure that this proposed hunting will not harm the populations and will achieve the desired goals. As well, aesthetics should not be a reason to allow hunting of this bird species. Maintaining ecological sustainability should come before all else, and we should have progressed past aesthetics as a reason for allowing activities that may have a negative ecological impact (e.g. use of herbicides for control of dandelions)
