We own a cottage on Lake Manitou on Manitoulin Island. We are confident we are speaking for many other summer residents on our lake. We have been vacationing on Lake Manitou for over thirty years and have observed the negative impact of the increasing cormorant population. We observe them constantly feeding on schools of perch and juvenile bass. Definite negative impact on the fish population of our lake. Their feces has decimated small islands on the lake killing all of the vegetation.
