I’m 22 years old with a newborn baby who will grow up never knowing countless species, having reduced green spaces and increased pollution. My child is statistically already full of microplastics, breathing exhaust-filled air, and unable to truly enjoy the outdoors because of such a heavy focus on construction and single use waste. Our Ontario Government has clearly forgotten that we are supposed to be shepherds of our environment, not the only animals left. Let’s stop this path of environmental destruction and instead focus on making the outdoors full of diversity, full of green conservation areas, and a place of curiosity and wonder for the next generation.
