To exempt the private mega-spa from a full environmental assessment is disgusting. It is inconceivable that the provincial government is pushing a private development project forward on this important piece of public land without public consultation.

We are already seeing the fallout from the destruction of the waterfront habitats in this area and the proposed design could have monumental environmental impacts.

The government is meant to be in service to the public. You therefore have a duty to consult the public on a project like this that affects the public realm.

Furthermore, you are entrusting a private company that has already shown to be misrepresenting itself in order to gain the development contract. There is no telling what other underhanded behaviours they will engage in to get this spa built.

Cancel the contract and consult the public.
