Scrapping these regulations will have long term consequences beyond what we can even imagine, and the damage of repealing our environmental protections will never be undone. These protections do not just conserve the environment but also benefit all Ontarians, such as by preserving wetlands so we do not pave over them and create new flood zones where drainage can no longer occur properly. Bill 5 is deeply harmful and must not go through.
