I strongly and entirely oppose this legislation and am urgently concerned about the environmental harms that experts predict it will cause. Having read the Housing Affordability Task Force recommendations, I do not understand how any of this is necessary to “protect Ontario” or expedite housing when all credible evidence suggests this will make people and other life less safe. Protecting our environment and building housing are both necessary and do not need to oppose each other.
