This proposal is unconstitutional and simply wrong on so many levels. Dresden has been targeted by York1 for their own profits, convenience and solely corporate greed. They are being backed by governments who also seem to be motivated by dollars and not what is truly right and wrong.
By letting this enormous landfill move so crazy close to our beautiful town is absolutely going to destroy our futures and our environment.
We have a "living/healthy" river run through our town that supports MANY endangered species. York1 intend to build this landfill right where Molly's Creek is located which will leach their toxic waste directly into this river.
There is no getting around this, the creek and the river raise to flood levels during peak times every year. Please at least take the time to look into this further before making ANY decisions.
This is only one of so many issues that will affect Dresden so harshly that it is criminal to even suggest this location is ok for York1 purposes.
The very least that we ask for is that the EA that was promised to us will be followed through.
York1 is looking for any and all avenues to not let this happen because they 100 percent know that an EA is going to bring to light the insanity of using this location. They are a huge wealthy corporation with what seem to be no conscious of destroying a town that has a rich history and community spirit.
Historical Society/Historic Buildings/Parks and Recreation/Local Clubs and Societies/Arts and only just a few that make up our town's identity and reflect the pride and its residents in their heritage and culture.
