There is a duty of the government to protect the right of every individual in Canada to a healthy environment. The Ontario Premier must uphold the principles of environmental justice, non-regression, and intergenerational equity. Failure to comply would be in violation of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act and therefore is a criminal and chargeable offense.
