II am strongly opposed to the re-opening of an abandoned dump in Dresden on Irish school road .. the manner in which the permits and permissions have been sought are underhanded and not in the interests of the public or the Sydenham river watershed area and the ecologically sensitive area surrounding the area..
this whole process wreaks of political patronage and favouritism and in no way is in the public interest. If it were I would ask why then is it necessary to take the steps York has to this point - to camouflage their intention from the beginning ..
Ontario should be seriously focusing on alternatives to dumps . Including incineration (Build it in Toronto ) diversion . Etc ..
The Sydenham River flows , into the Great Lakes system an environmental hot spot of its own ..

I am deeply concerned that the current Provincial government is being improperly influenced to reverse course .
